In a hilarious and viral clip from their sports show “It Is What It Is,” rappers Cam’Ron and Mase jokingly offered to take Bronny James to play basketball in the New York City hoods. The show, which has been a massive success since its debut, features the two rappers who grew up playing basketball together in NYC.

In the clip, Cam’Ron and Mase gave Bronny James some tough love advice, saying that he needs to be tested in the hood to prove himself. Cam’Ron even suggested taking Bronny to Dyckman, a famous outdoor basketball court in Manhattan, to see if he has what it takes to play with the best of them.

We might need to take you with us to the hood. Then bring you back and say okay, he ready now. Hit killa up.

Mase further jokingly added that Bronny needs a girlfriend named Lakisha to toughen him up. While the advice may seem extreme, it’s clear that Cam’Ron and Mase were just joking around.

However, the idea of Bronny playing in the hood isn’t entirely far-fetched. In fact, it could be a great opportunity for him to learn and grow as a player. Despite his famous name and privilege, Bronny has struggled to find his footing on the court in the NBA Summer League for the LA Lakers.

Bronny James’ Las Vegas Summer League debut overshadowed by impressive performance from Reed Sheppard

Bronny James recovered from his fall to make his Las Vegas NBA Summer League debut with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, it was not a great outing as it was another rookie who stole the show. James scored eight points with four rebounds and two steals in the Lakers’ 99-80 loss to the Houston Rockets. Unfortunately, he struggled with his shooting, going 3/12 from the floor and shooting blanks on his 3-pointers from eight attempts made.

Meanwhile, Reed Sheppard, the No. 3 overall pick in the NBA Draft, impressed with 23 points, four rebounds, five assists, and three blocks, leading the Rockets to victory. Sheppard shot 4-6 from beyond the arc and 9/17 overall from the field, outshining Bronny James’ performance.

Despite the lackluster debut, James’ eight points were the highest total he’s scored in his three Summer League games. The Lakers will look to bounce back against the Boston Celtics in their next game on Monday night.
