With each passing day, the Vince McMahon vs. Janel Grant lawsuit is turning a new leaf. In what began as a donnybrook between the aforementioned entities up until now, John Laurinaitis has barged into the mix as well. The latter’s attorney, Edward Brennan, claimed in early April that his client, Mr. Laurinaitis, was himself a victim in plaintiff Janel’s complaint.
However, John has now flipped sides and adopted Vince McMahon‘s motion to compel arbitration. Leaning into the matter, McMahon’s attorney, Jessica T. Rosenberg, has issued a brand-new statement. It’s been claimed that Janel Grant filed an outrageous lawsuit back in January against Vince after being devastated by their break-up.
McMahon’s attorney further boasted how John Laurinaitis has joined the former WWE Chairman’s cause to unravel Grant’s lies within the complaint. At last, Rosenberg wrote that despite Ms. Grant’s attorney, Ann Callis‘, best efforts, she wouldn’t be able to suppress the truth from coming out. Not that long ago, Vinnie Mac’s lawyers filed a memorandum disputing the contentious lawsuit.
They asserted that McMahon’s ties with Grant were consensual. Moreover, she’d used to visit the 78-year-old as early as 2:30 am in the morning to pursue their relationship, per the filing. In the initial complaint Janel made, both McMahon and Laurinaitis were named.
Later on, Front Office Sports reported that WWE CEO, Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon were also among the corporate officers mentioned in Grant’s filing. Khan still holds a significant share of the company, upholding the presidential office of WWE. However, Steph is no longer associated with the promotion in any official capacity, though she did return recently.
Gunther wasn’t a fan of Vince McMahon’s way of running WWE
There are a ton of names in WWE who’re elated that Vince McMahon is no longer in charge. One of them includes former Intercontinental Champion, Gunther. He recently told the Gorilla Position that the on-screen product before Triple H took over the creative reins was not something he enjoyed.
That was a major reason why The Ring General didn’t want to relocate permanently to the United States. Interestingly, the Austrian made his main roster debut under McMahon’s regime. However, a month or two after it happened, things started going south for the business tycoon.
In June 2022, he was accused of hush money allegations, and consequently, he resigned. At the moment, Gunther is very much the top heel on Monday Night Raw, having recently dropped the IC title after a record-breaking 666-day title reign.
