Legendary aspects are a newly added feature in the world of Diablo 4. You can sort them as item modifiers. Say, you just stashed a rare weapon or any other item. With the right Legendary Aspect to fit, you can enhance your item to give Legendary stats. Needless to say, it can significantly enhance your character class, whether you are Necromancer, Druid, or Barbarian (I am siding with Necromancer). Moreover, your class can go into full Saiyan mode if you choose the right Aspect.
Apart from boosting moral values, damage ability, or utilities, Legendary Aspects is a key to generating the best build for your class. And with over 1000 Legendary Aspects, there are endless possibilities to make your personal play style. However, you have to focus on the aspects that suit your character, skills, and your strategies on the battlefield.

Legendary Aspects in Diablo 4
First, let me introduce you to the categories of Legendary Aspects. In Diablo 4, you will come across about 5 categories of aspects– Offensive, Defensive, Resource, Utility, and Mobility. Each of these categories has a variety of different aspects that can be applied to your gears. Say, the Offensive category includes aspects that increase damage, critical hit chance, and attack speed. On the other hand, you will find aspects to increase armor resistance and health under the Defensive category.
How to Unlock Legendary Aspects
The in-game mechanics will give you two choices; either you follow the path of Codex of Power or by stashing Legendary Items.
The Codex of Power is basically a collection of Legendary Aspects. You will have to imprint this on your items to get the effect. Explore through dungeons and more dungeons, and complete trials to earn the right to imprint.
Now, on the other hand, slay down whatever you see in front of you to increase the chances of getting Legendary loot. The more powerful they are, the chances increase proportionately to that. And finally, attach the item you fancy to bring out the full potential out of it.
Extract Legendary Aspect
Now, there will be times when your Legendary Aspect might not be suited for your class build. To resolve this issue, just visit the Occultist. He will do the necessary work to extract the Aspect into your storage for the return of some gold. Once the Legendary Aspects is extracted, you can use it on a different gear. With this, no Aspect has to sit idle or get abused on different items.
