How Many Endings Are There In Cyberpunk 2077
In total, there are six endings in Cyberpunk 2077. Five core endings and a secret ending. Each of them is listed below
- The Path of Least Resistance
- The Devil
- The Sun
- Temperance
- The Star
- New Ending
- Secret Ending
How To Get Each of The Endings
The steps you need to take to get each of the endings are given below.
1. Path of Least Resistance
For you to get this ending where you die by suicide, you must choose the first dialogue option available on Misty’s rooftop. V reasons that this is the only way to stop further bloodshed and loss before the datachip implanted in them overwrites their mind and makes them incapable. Johnny will however warn V that is it not what he would’ve done but does understand V’s decision. V then pulls the trigger on himself.
2. The Devil
In this ending, V decides to assist Takemura to get his revenge for Saburo Arasaka’s death. To get this ending, you need to save Takemura in the ‘Search and Destroy’ mission and then seek Hanako for help. After that, you take the omega-blocker pills and finish ‘Where Is My Mind?’
Probably one of the worst endings in the game, as you’re left with a decision to sell your soul to Arasaka or to wither away in 6 months. What makes this ending worse is that it is kind of implied that V never makes it back to earth if you do choose the latter option.
3. The Sun
To get to this ending, you need to complete the ‘Blistering Love’ side mission, ask Rogue for help when the time comes, take the pseudoendotrizine pills, and finally, inside Mikoshi, cross the bridge as Johnny. Also, another prerequisite for this ending is that you must do all of the side missions from Johnny Silverhand.
In The Sun ending, V decides to return to Night City in their own body and chooses to live out the last six months of their life in Night City. During the whole process, V takes over the Afterlife and is seen as a Night City Legend.
4. Temperance
This unique ending occurs if V decides not to return to their body and lets Johnny take over. As a result, V’s consciousness is wiped out. At the end of the game, Johnny is seen visiting V’s grave. The prerequisites to this ending are to complete Panam’s or Rogue’s questlines.
5. The Star
The Star ending shows that V decides to leave Night City with Panam and the Aldecaldos. You need to complete the ‘Queen of the Highway’ side mission and ask Panam for help.
Also, take the omega-blocker pills and enter the well in Mikoshi as V. At the end of the mission, if you choose to go back to Earth, then you’ll leave Night City with the Aldecaldos knowing that you do not have much time left to live.
6. New Ending
After the addition of the Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, a completely new ending has been added not to the DLC story itself but to the base game.

In this ending, V has just woken up from a coma in Langley. You were promised that you would spend a month or two for the operation but it ended up you being in a coma for 2 whole years. Your friends have moved on.
Judy is now married and doesn’t want to interfere with her new life, Panam can’t get over your disappearance, Kerry is on a band tour, and River has changed his ways and is too ashamed to face V.
However, only Viktor is in Night City and is eager to see you. In the final cutscene, you talk with Misty about everything that just happened. But she is now headed to Poland and suggests you leave Night City as well. The game ends with you blending in with the other people of Night City.
7. Secret Ending
There are two things you need to ensure to get this ending. One is to have at least a 70% relationship with Johnny, and another is to complete the following three side jobs:
- Tapeworm
- Chippin’ In
- Blistering Love
Also, when given the choice to ask Panam or Rogue for help, you need to wait for five whole minutes, choosing none of the options. In this ending, V and Johnny storm Arasaka Tower on their own.
